ArtSnacks Box for June 2017

The new ArtSnacks box is here! It features Tombow markers and a new paint marker! For those who are interested in trying these supplies for themselves, I have included my Amazon affiliate links down below.

When you open the box this what you see. Ooh, a new paint marker!

The first item was a cute little Denik Mini Sketchbook! I love the artwork on the cover! You can download the design at http://artsn.ax/denik_bkgd. The size was 4X2.5 inches. Just right for carrying around for quick sketches. This size retails for $5. You can get bigger sizes at Amazon.com.

The second item that I received was a Zig Painty FX marker. This marker has a 1.5 mm bullet nib and contains an alcohol-based pigment ink. The color I got was Red. These markers are priced at around $3.60 a piece. You can get a pack of 8 at Amazon for around $36.48.

The next group of items was three Tombow Dual Brush Pens. These markers have a brush nib and a bullet nib. The colors were Crimson, Pink Rose, and Turquoise. These markers retail for around $2.29 at dickblick.com and $14.58 in a 10-pack at Amazon.

Last I got two General's MultiPastel Chalk pencils. The colors were Indigo Blue and Sap Green. I have a bunch of these pastel pencils already and I really like them! More are always welcome! They cost around $1.70 per pencil. You can get a 4-pack of cool colors ranging from $4.99 to $6.92 at dickblick.com and Amazon.com.

There was also the art supplies list, the ArtSnacks sticker, and sour bubble gum. The bubble gum reminded me of those candy coated bubble gum balls that I used to chew as a kid.

Doodlin' Time!

The Tombow Dual Brush Pens have nice bright colors and blend nicely. The Tombow Dual Brush Pens also make washes when water is added. They do tend to peel the paper just a little bit in the Denik Mini Sketchbook. The General's Chalk Pastel Pencils are always nice for pastel work and can be sharpened to a fine point for detail work. The Painty FX marker has nice coverage and is waterproof. I want to try this out on fabric and see if it will stay on it. I like to paint on denim. The Denik Mini Notebook works great for small sketches.

Check out my affiliate link fabric.com to find denim material. They have lots of different materials that you can paint on, but you have to do the sewing yourself. (I am terrible at sewing. I can patch a hole and sew on a button and that's about it. Thank goodness for fabric glue!)

I love to paint on these bags and I think they are cute because they look like denim cut-offs.

'Raindrop'

by Ellie Taylor

Here is another attempt by me to make a cute kawaii creature. (See my May 2017 ScrawlrBox post.) This is a raindrop thingy with wings. I used the Tombow markers on the body and the wings. I also used the Zig Painty FX marker on the wings along with the General's Pastel Chalk pencils.

This was a nice box this month. I got a lot of supplies to add to my Tombow marker and General's Chalk Pastel pencil collections and I got to try out a new paint marker!

If you want to try out this subscription box company, their website is http://www.artsnacks.co/ The boxes start at $24 a month with free shipping to the United States. International shipping is available, but it is not free.
