February 2017 ArtSnacks Box

It's time for the February 2017 ArtSnacks Box! There is a bunch of fun new stuff for this month including a new Zig marker, pencil sets, and more! For those of you who want to try out these supplies or something similar, I have included my affiliate links to Amazon and MisterArt in this blog post.

ArtSnacks February 2017

This the what you see when you open the box. Fun stuff!

The first item that I took out of the box was a Pentalic Drawing Set in a nice metal case.

In this set there are 3 graphite pencils, 2 black charcoal pencils, and 1 white charcoal pencil. I do a lot of charcoal pictures and these will definitely come in handy! This is an exclusive ArtSnacks sneak peak for this new Pentel set. It will retail around $6.99. You can find some other sets without the white charcoal pencil at Amazon. You can find the General brand of white charcoal pencils at Misterart.com for around $0.99 or even $0.86 a piece if you join their buyers club.

The second group of items were two Stabilo Pen 68 markers. I received turquoise and brown colored markers. These markers have a bullet nib and have water-based ink. These retail for around $1.13 to $1.35 each. Misterart.com has the individual colors and if you join the MisterArt buyers club, these markers are 99 cents. You can also find a whole pack of different colors at Amazon.

Next I received a brand new Zig product, a Clean Color FB marker. This is another ArtSnacks sneak peek at a new forthcoming product.

This is a variation of the Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker, but it has a firmer fiber brush nib. I got a red colored one. I can't wait to get some more of these. These new Zig markers will retail at $5.56 a piece. If you want to try out the Clean Color Real Brush line, you can get them at Amazon.com. or dickblick.com. I love these Real Brush tipped Zig Markers and I have all the colors!

The final art supply was a KRINK K-70 Permanent Ink Marker. This marker has alcohol based ink.

This marker has an interchangeable nib. You can change the nib from bullet to chisel by taking it out and switching it around. The ink color was black. You can find these markers at dickblick.com, amazon.com, or Michaels.com. They range in price from $8.09 to around $12. There are a few more colors besides black.

The February candy was a package full of Sweethearts for Valentine's Day. The sticker logo and the art supplies list were also included in the box.

Doodlin' Time

The Pentalic drawing set was very nice and I will be using it for my charcoal paintings. I love white charcoal pencils and I am always on the lookout for more of them. The Krink marker has good coverage and the interchangeable nib kind of makes it a two-in-one marker. The nib was very easy to change. I liked the new Zig brush marker very much and it works with water very nicely. The Stabilo 68 marker pens have a very nice fine tip nib that will work well for inking in details or using in a coloring book.

This was another very good box with some really neat sneak peek items this month. I really enjoyed testing out these brand new products! If you want to check out this box, you can find them at www.artsnacks.co. This box costs $24 a month with free shipping to the United States. They ship worldwide.
