ArtSnacks Box for November 2017

I received my November ArtSnacks box for 2017 and it has some interesting things this month. It features Tombow TwinTone markers and more. For those who want to try these supplies for themselves, I have included my Amazon affiliate links down below.

When you open the box this is what you see. All right, a Molotow pen!

The first items I got were two Tombow TwinTone markers. These are double ended markers with

I got yellow and blue colors. These markers are available in a set at Amazon and dickblick.com for around $17.04.

The second item was a 1 mm Molotow Liquid Chrome pen. This is a paint pen with metallic alcohol ink and is refillable. You can find it at Amazon and dickblick.com for around $8.78 to $10.98.

Next there was a 5B Caran d'Ache Grafwood Pencil. It can be found on Amazon for $2.98.

Then I received a Amsterdam Acrylic Marker with a bullet nib. This is a white paint marker and can be used for blending. This marker retails for around $5.59 to $7.09 on dickblick.com or Amazon.

The last item was a sample book of Yupo Medium synthetic paper. This paper is not made from wood pulp, but sort of a plastic material. Amazon has a 5X7 inch notebook for $6.79.

There was also the items list, an ArtSnacks sticker, and some Sweetarts candy.

Doodlin' Time!

The Yupo Medium synthetic paper has a very slick surface, but the Caran d'Ache Grafwood Pencil writes on it very well. The Molotow Liquid Chrome marker has nice thick coverage. The Tombow TwinTone Dual Tip markers blend nicely on this paper and especially with the white acrylic Amsterdam markers. This Yupo paper doesn't peel with the Tombow markers whereas most papers that I have tried with them have peeled.

'Snowflake Ornament'

by Ellie Taylor

I did a quick little painting of a Christmas ornament using the Tombow markers blended with the white acrylic Amsterdam marker. Then I decorated it with the Molotow Chrome paint marker. It shows up somewhat, but I think it would look awesome on black paper or dark colors. The Chrome marker is really neat and you can definitely make some shiny effects with it. Overall this was a nice box with some interesting new supplies. If you want to try out this subscription box company, their website is http://www.artsnacks.co/ The boxes start at $24 a month with free shipping to the United States. International shipping is available, but it is not free.
